Dignity at Work
All staff have the right to be treated with dignity, respect and courtesy, to a workplace free from bullying, harassment, discrimination and victimisation and to be valued for their skills and abilities. Dignity at work covers behaviours that constitute bullying and different forms of harassment . These behaviours are destructive to the individual and the organisation.
We offer programmes that will serve as a practical guide to your organisation’s Dignity at Work Policy exploring the legal framework, managers' and staffs' responsibilities in treating everyone with the respect and courtesy they deserve and how to address inappropriate behaviour should it arise. The programmes emphasise the difference between intention versus impact and strong management versus bullying.
A day programme is recommended for managers to explore the different areas, the behaviours required and how to manage complaints of bullying and workplace harassment that are brought to their attention.
A half-day programme is recommended for staff members.
Alternative interventions can also be discussed to raise awareness and understanding of what dignity at work is and appropriate and inappropriate behaviours. |
