Learning and development of staff and yourself is essential for any organisation and career development. Organisation success relies on the ability of each and every employee to learn faster than the competition. In fact, learning may be the only competitive advantage in the 21st century because all other advantages rely on it (Arie De Gens, Head of Planning, Royal Dutch Shell). While many organisations focus on the development of hard skills - the technical requirement of the job - there can be less of a focus on soft skills - how well your people relate and communicate to others. The success of your organisation depends on the skills of your staff, this includes soft skills.

Choosing the correct learning and development intervention is key to the success of learning in your organisation, helping you to achieve your strategic goals.

In order for an organisation to develop its staff appropriately you first need to identify what training or development is required by completing a Training Need Analysis.

The analysis of learning and development needs is a continuous process. It is the responsibility of line management, but the trainer may well have to become involved. The Training Need Analysis need not be complicated but it is a process that should take place on a regular ongoing basis. Based on the results of the Training Need Analysis the right learning and development interventions can be identified, designed and developed.

We will work with you to help you to identify the right learning and development interventions for your needs to help you achieve your strategic goals.

Training programmes will be developed with your needs in mind: Content, style of delivery, time, level, focus on bringing the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviours and attitudes back to the workplace.

Ormond Coaching and Training, based in Galway, has extensive experience in the design and delivery of management development and People Skills (soft skills) programmes including communication skills, presentation skills, Interview skills and preparation, Appraisal and Performance Management, Time Management, Train the Trainer, Customer Care and Meeting Skill. Other coaching services include personal and career coaching.
